Bishop Ranch’s beloved holiday tree lighting tradition is moving to City Center Bishop Ranch this year. The three-day evening event will feature all of the holiday trimmings plus new activities during what will become an annual ‘Holiday on the Square’ tradition. From Wednesday, November 28 – Friday, November 30, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., the East Bay community is invited to enjoy numerous family activities, including: • Spectacular lighting of a 50-foot Douglas Fir tree with falling snow on Nov. 28 - Nov. 30 from 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. • Festive holiday performances by LED enhanced Elves, Toy Soldiers, and stilt-walking Reindeer • Live DJ • Free selfie photos with Sidecar Santa, whose revamped sleigh features a vintage motorcycle and sidecar. Sidecar Santa will be in the Square Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. during the holiday season • Festive coffee and hot chocolate cheer stations • Face painting and crafts for children • In-store events and seasonal surprises for shoppers of all ages The complimentary festivities will be held on Alexander Square at the newly opened City Center Bishop Ranch, located at 6000 Bollinger Canyon Road in San Ramon. “We’re excited to create new and exciting holiday traditions at City Center Bishop Ranch this year,” said Alexander Mehran, Jr., president and chief operating officer of Sunset Development Company, which owns City Center Bishop Ranch. “As we enter this special season of giving and sharing, we can’t think of a better way of inaugurating this tradition than by bringing the community together at a new gathering place for the first of many celebrations on Alexander Square.”
