Dose of Action Film Festival

America's prescription drug and illegal opioid overdose crisis is impacting every community in Contra Costa County. Join us to learn through film and courageous dialogue about this epidemic and what actions YOU can take to help protect yourself and those you care about. Featured Short Films Include: Circle of Addiction - A Different Kind of Tears. Directed by James Wahlberg and produced by Wahl St. Productions. Only The Good Written, Produced and Acting by Louisiana State University students. Also includes short PSA's created by Contra Costa County CourAGE Youth and short educational film clips developed by Contra Costa TV. A panel discussion about these films and Q&A will immediately follow the screenings. Panelists will include: Dan Peddycord, Contra Costa County Public Health Director Producers and cast members of the featured films. April Rovero with the National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse FREE Naloxone/Narcan training will be available during the event and FREE overdose rescue kits provided to those who complete the short training.
