Come celebrate art, tradition and culture at the Rangoli Art Walk. An ancient form of Indian folk art, Rangoli are colorful designs traditionally created on the floors of courtyards and living rooms during Hindu festivals. Meant to bring good luck, the patterns are created using colored rice, flour, sand and flower petals. Natural colorings such as vermilion and turmeric are used to create vibrant geometric shapes, floral patterns or images of deities. Artists will create the patterns for 5 hours on each of the festival's first three days.
