• Evaluating the medications a patient is currently taking, both prescription and over the counter (OTC), for continued necessity clinically.
• Once the need has been confirmed, a discussion on how to reduce the number of pills/inhalers/eyedrops/etc into combination products to both simplify and streamline as well as reduce the number of copays
• Evaluate the potential for changing drugs from expensive Tier 3 and Tier 4 agents to Tier 1 or Tier 2 agents to maintain similar clinical efficacy but reduce copay amounts.
• Services for consulting both telephonically and in person with physicians to discuss recommendations for potential discontinuations and/or changes to prescriptions and/or OTC usage.
• How to choose a Part D plan for the lowest premiums and the lowest copays. This may involve medication changes which will be recommended.
